My Style Icons!

Hey thought I would do something a bit different today and share with you a few people I look up to in terms of fashion. They are quite varied, and when I was looking at them something became clear. I like clean, simple, casual clothes, and people who dress their own way and don't really follow the crowd.

1) Florence from Florence and the machine.
I think she is beautiful, classy and has an effortless style and glamour!
I especially love that she does her own thing and clearly just wears things because she likes them!

2) Bella Swan (Twilight).
Don't worry I do understand that Bella is not a real person and is in fact just a character but I love her simple casual style. You can't say she doesn't look great in the films even though she is mostly just wearing hoodies, plain tops and jeans! That takes serious style! I also had to include a picture of the stunning wedding dress. I know it is a marmite dress But I adore it! So classy and different to the strapless marangues you normally see! I also love the vintage feel to the sleeves and the laced back.

3) Emma Watson
I think everyone sees Emma as a style icon now. Her great sense of style is well documented. I admire her brave decision with her change in hair style and I love her simple vintage style of dressing!

4) Fearne Cotton
Last but not least the beautiful Fearne! I have loved her sense of style for years. Cute accessories, band t-shirts, simple dresses, and stunningly simple make up. She looks as though she gets up throws on her clothes and somehow always manages to look amazing! Wish I could do that!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post. let me know your current style icons! I would love to hear from you!

Last friday night!

Hey,
I've shown you the nails, now here is the outfit. (My first outfit of the day!) As I said in my last post, I went out last night to a silent disco! (which explains the headphones I'm wearing.) The pictures were taken when we were out and aren't the best but you get the idea.

I'm wearing an over sized feather top, a black Primark bodycon skirt, black tights and black boots.

Night out nails!

Hey all,
Last night was awesome me and my friends went to a silent disco! Loved it! My nails were majorly chipped from work so I had to have a change! In the boxing day sales I bought two packs of very cheap nail foils to try. I decided to bite the bullet and have a go. To be honest I thought they would be harder to use than they were. They have not be applied perfectly by any means but I'm learning.

Cheap nail review!

Hey just another quick nail polish post. This is a look I've been trying this week. I used the 60 seconds Rimmel polish in hard edged (which I got from Poundland), and the gold foil polish was from a Charlie perfume set. I have to say that I'm not very impressed with either as they have both chipped a lot over the course of the week, especially the Rimmel one, which surprised me!

Has anyone tried any of the 60 second Rimmel polishes? If so did you find that they chipped?

The ipout!

Hey its snowing! YAY! I love the snow!
Anyway I just had to tell you all about my favourite red lipstick (which you can't beat for a night out). I received it in the November Carmine box. (Which to this date is still my favourite beauty box!) It is by New Kid Cosmetics. It's Ipout in the shade Scarlet. Which goes on smooth and feels moisturising. It also lasts all night! But the best thing about it is the built in mirror on the side and the fact that you press a button on the bottom of it to make it light up. This little gadget means it can be re-applied anywhere even in a club!  I may have to try some of the other shades in the range as I love this one so much! At £15.00 I feel this lipstick is a reasonable price for the quality.

You can look at the range on http://www.newcidcosmetics.com/Lips

This is how the product is described on the Carmine website:
"Lights, colour, action!
Now, there is absolutely no excuse for less-than-perfectly applied lipstick! Equipped with a built-in mirror and light, this little stick of colour is the perfect make-up companion for any woman on the go. Not to be confused with the hi-tech genius of Apple, New CID's modern little i-Pout is full of nourishing vitamin E and comes in 12 long-lasting shades - from Scarlet to Fuschia to Pomegranate.
Apply anytime, anywhere.
These classic, incredibly wearable colours provide amazing coverage for any glamorous occasion. If you're on the go or in the dark (hey, it happens!), simply flick on the light and apply directly onto your lips. Be sure to press your lips together to even out the colour and wink at any drooling bystanders. If you're going for a softer look, you can also apply the shades using a lip brush. But no matter what you do, make sure you use the built-in mirror and stay inside the lines!"

Hope your all having a great weekend!
Till next time : )

Dead sea spa review!

I went out on Saturday night and was bare legged and decided to give my legs a treat. So I used one of the Dead sea spa Magik salt brushing sashays. I received this is in my January feel unique beauty box and was looking forward to trying it.
I found it really easy to use and effective it made my skin super soft and silky, but don't use it just before going out as it can leave your skin slightly red for a while. I will definitely be using the other sashays soon. And will probably buy some in Holland and Barret as I believe it is £12.99 for 500g.
